Eph 5:21  "submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ."

Submitting to one another is not an easy thing to do. You must keep your focus on what Jesus Christ did for you. He submitted Himself to mockery, abuse, hatred, undeserved punishment and the most horrible death for you. Enduring that He has poured His absolute love into your heart that you might have faith, be saved and become obedient to the life giving decrees of God. Out of  sheer amazement and respect submit yourself to others.

To begin with you know as children that you should submit to your parents commands. This is one of the original paths of grace that God gave. It is command, but it is grace, because it comes with the promise of things going well for you. It is only right to obey parents who are following God in love.

Eph 6:1-3  "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  "Honor your father and mother" (this is the first commandment with a promise), "that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land."

Yet, you parents in your attempts to teach your children of the grace and discipline of following the LORD, don't make the burden too heavy. Especially you Fathers remember the forgiveness and grace of God in loving you. Mercy and grace go farther to soften the heart and make it pliable, only a little bit of displeasure in punishment gets the attention then turn to instruction and promise.

Eph 6:4  "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."

If you are in a legally binding attachment or voluntarily you have put yourself under servitude. If you are employed. If serving another is your livelihood, do all your service with a an eye toward serving Jesus Christ. He has purchased us and we are His servants.
If you have someone in employ as one who serves you, don't be a boss, be a leader to them. Your threats won't motivate them to serve and love you. You won't be as productive and they won't be as willing to serve if you don't lead in the way God leads. He is Absolute Love and it is His grace and loving provision that causes us all to want to serve Him. He doesn't look at a persons parents or social strata, He doesn't care where you are from or how much personal possessions you have. He gives grace to you regardless of your outer appearance.

Eph 6:5-9  "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ,  not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. Masters, do the same to them, and stop your threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and that there is no partiality with him."

My final thoughts lead me to say you need a defense against the scheming wiles of Satan. He is the hater, the liar and the destroyer. You won't stand on your own, you need the mighty strength of God's love coursing through you heart.
Your wrestling with this idea of submission and obedience is not something that is just arguing with or persuading others about. Satan and all the dark forces of his followers will come against this idea. They will challenge you to believe in God's love and goodness. They will say God doesn't really mean you have to obey. He will say; "you really don't need to be submissive, assert your rights". He will whisper; "your obedience isn't important, did God really mean that you needed to forgo that desire". Evil beings hate the light of God's truth, they will come against it. They are filled with contempt for God and all His ways. They are against all who follow after the Absolute Love of God.

Eph 6:10-12  "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."
