Col 1:13, 14  "He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

Can you believe how much love, grace, mercy, forgiveness and power God has poured into you. He pulled you out of utter despair and darkness. You were mired in a mess of wandering away from God. He reached down pulled you out and placed into the the presence and power of the reign of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. It is in this Jesus of Nazareth, God incarnate that we find redemption from the sentence of eternal dying and forgiveness. He has wiped clean all of our rebellion and failings in walking away from God.

Let me tell who this Jesus is: He is the very reflection in every detail of God the Father. He is the one who began all of the created world. Prior to all things created, the only begotten Son of God!

Col 1:15  "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation."

It is from Him, and through Him and to Him that everything has come into being. I am talking about heavenly creation and the creation of all things on earth. It is His universe, His galaxies and the vast reaches of space. There is no where where He has not put His finger print upon and nowhere that He is not now there. He is eternally present with the Father and the Spirit of God proceeds from Him and the Father, the three in one ever united and ever present. There is no power that derives its authority except it is granted by Him. He uses all things the the glorious praise of His power and wisdom.

Col 1:16  "For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him."

Along with being the very God of very God taking on human flesh, Jesus Christ is preeminent in all things nothing takes a place before Him, no one can be the replacement of Him. He holds all things together by His Word, for He is the very Word that created everything and by His command, all things that remain and exist, are held together

Col 1:17  "And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

He is the authority over those who are enabled to turn to Him, for He has called them out from their wandering and darkness and by His Word He has commanded them to believe by grace as gift given to cause them to believe and have faith. He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and end of all things, and He y the power of God, existing in Him was raised from death to life in a glorified human form that He might be the first to lead us and many others to newness of life.
So you can see that He is preeminent in all things. Can you imagine being loved and served by such a man, such a God!

Col 1:18  "And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent."

For it was in Christ Jesus, Jesus of Nazareth that all the fullness of who God is existed and dwelt in this man. Through His perfect life, perfectly obeying the Father and serving us through dying  and receiving the eternal punishment of God, that God now reconciled all things to His will. To His purpose of perfectly melding love and justice, law and grace, faithfulness and obedience that was not coerced or forced, but freely and gladly given. The shed blood of Jesus Christ made peace with all aspects of God's purpose and will.

Col 1:19, 20  "For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross."

Now back to you, or may I say; back to what the result of all that Jesus Christ is and does, means to you. You were at odds with God, fighting against Him, You wanted to act in evil ways forsaking and rebelling against the laws of God.
Now Christ has taken you and by His death has reconciled you to God. He is now able to allow you to be presented to God as separated to God, blameless, with no reproach that is laid upon you. Do you feel the power? Do you feel the Love? He is Absolute Love and has laid grace upon grace on you.
Here is the test, continuing in faith to hold tightly to His gift, being stable and steady in focusing you hope upon Him. Laying all of your trust in the good news of what Christ has done and taking it as your own means of acceptance before God.

Col 1:21-23  "And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,  he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,  if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister."
