Joh 10:30  "I and the Father are one."

Jesus was direct and clear it was unmistakable that He was claiming to be Yahweh. He was "One" with God.

The religious elite wanted to kill Him.

Joh 10:31  "The Jews picked up stones again to stone him."

Jesus said; "What is it I have done so wrong to deserve your wrath and judgment?" "What of my actions are deserving of death?" " Everything I do is doing good for others and following after The Fathers' will."

I am amazed at how cool and in control Jesus is in these confrontations. Full of grace and truth.
The religious leaders full of vitriol and discord.

Joh 10:32  "Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?"

The religious leaders said they were not angry about anything He did, but only because of what He said. He said He was God.

Joh 10:33  The Jews answered him, "It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God."

Psa 82:6 - 8  "I said, "You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince. Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations!"

Jesus trumped them on every step. He was the author of "The Law". They were trapped in their self-justification. They said they weren't wanting to kill Jesus because of His actions. The very "Law" they referenced called messengers of God's word "elohim" (gods).

Jesus said, "If you don't believe what I say, when I say I Am the only begotten Son of Father God. You should believe what your eyes have seen. I Am doing the very works of God. The things I do should indicate to you that the Fathe is in Me and I Am in the Father. I Am God. I Am Yahweh."

Joh 10:34 - 38 "Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I said, you are gods'? If he called them gods to whom the word of God came--and Scripture cannot be broken-- do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father."

They tried to arrest Jesus, but He slipped away. Jesus went back to the place where He and John had been baptizing. Calling people to repentance and faith.

Joh 10:39, 40  "Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands.  He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained."

Many were coming to Him. They said, "John didn't perform any signs like Jesus had, but Jesus fulfilled all that John had said about the coming Messiah." They were believing and following after Jesus. He is Absolute Love.
Only conditions for coming to God, repentance and faith. "Not unconditional" It is clear the religious leaders were condemned by their arrogance and disobedience."

Joh 10:41, 42  "And many came to him. And they said, "John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true. And many believed in him there."

Only conditions for coming to God, repentance and faith. "Not unconditional" It is clear the religious leaders were condemned by their arrogance and disobedience."
Joh 9:41  "Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, 'We see,' your guilt remains."
