Joh 12:27, 28  "Now is my soul troubled. And what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? But for this purpose I have come to this hour.  Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came from heaven: "I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again."

The validation of Jesus as the essence of the glory of God in obedience and absolute love is clearly seen in His life. Much more will it be displayed now in His humble obedience, sacrificial substitution and cleansing victory over sin and death. He is Absolute Love.
In Jesus life, death, burial, resurrection and eternal reign sin is conquered, death is overcome, Satan is vanquished and those in Christ Jesus are redeemed, forgiven and eternally given life by the power of God.

2Co 3:17, 18  "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."

Joh 12:29, 33  "The crowd that stood there and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to him. Jesus answered, "This voice has come for your sake, not mine. Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.  He said this to show by what kind of death he was going to die."

The crowd was even more perplexed by Jesus' declaration. (They would soon understand what He was saying.)

They were saying; "We know you are the Messiah" "We know your kingdom is eternal." "What is this about being lifted up and who is the Son of Man"

Joh 12:34  "So the crowd answered him, "We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?"

Jesus tried to assure them; " I Am the light and the life, I will stay with you for a while longer." "Hold onto the light of what I have given to you and walk in the light of My Word." "If you believe in Me and the light I have given you, believe in Me and you will become children of the true light." "Children of the living God."

Jesus left to be by Himself, so that the crowds couldn't find Him.

Joh 12:35,36  "So Jesus said to them, "The light is among you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." When Jesus had said these things, he departed and hid himself from them."

Jesus had done so many things to shed light on who He was and the character of God. They just couldn't believe that He was their Messiah. They couldn't believe He was sent of God. They couldn't believe He was Yahweh.

This was not a surprise, it was foretold by Isaiah. Even the unbelief was part of God's overall plan of redemption.

Joh 12:37 - 41 "Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, so that the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: "Lord, who has believed what he heard from us, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said, "He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them."

The reason Isaiah said these things is because Jesus was revealed to Him hundreds of years beforehand. Isaiah saw the glory of God in Jesus the Christ, Yeshua Messiah, Isa Al Masih.

It was Jesus of Nazareth that Isaiah spoke of in His prophecies.

"Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him."

Even though the crowds found it impossible to believe, even some of the people in charge believed in Jesus, who He claimed to be. Nevertheless their fear of reprisal from the religious elite and there need to belong kept them from following Jesus. They loved the approval of other people more than the surpassing glory of being known and accepted into the family of God.

Joh 12:42, 43  "Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God."

Jesus exclaimed in a commanding shout; "It is not belief in Me that you forfeit, it is in God the Father who sent Me." "I dispense the light of God so you can see clearly who God is and His character of absolute love and pure justice." You are not rejecting Me, you are rejecting the almighty living God of the universe." " I Am not here to judge, you set yourselves up for judgment in the end." "I have the authority to judge but it is not only mine, it was given to Me by the Eternal Father." "I know that His command is final and what He commands gives life everlasting, so I do and say what is provided by My Father, for it is grace for life and truth for eternity."

Joh 12:44- 50  "And Jesus cried out and said, "Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. And whoever sees me sees him who sent me. I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.  The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.  For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment--what to say and what to speak.  And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me."
