Heb 9:11,12  "But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption."

Christ is a high priest of things that have already come to us by His sacrificial love, but not things of this world, not of this creation, He is making all things new. He has brought unimaginable peace to us who believe, even in the midst of this sin sick world that is passing away. Perfect reconciliation with God and access into the presence through the inter-mediation of Christ Jesus. The power of the Spirit of God has come into our hearts and minds, guiding us to righteousness and leading us away from the sinfulness we once embraced. This all is secured eternally by the sacrifice of Jesus, Isa, Yeshua. He is Yahweh. He is the Absolute Love.

Heb 9:13,14  "For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God."

You know that the former sacrificial system was only pointing to this eternal reality. The former sacrifices were for forgiveness and acceptance. The sacrifice of Christ is once for all for complete purification, being made dead to sin, and the never ending tread mill of trying to work to be accepted, that is futility. A living hell. Now we are alive the the life giving power and joy of God.

Heb 9:15-22  "Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. For where a will is involved, the death of the one who made it must be established. For a will takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive.  Therefore not even the first covenant was inaugurated without blood.  For when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, "This is the blood of the covenant that God commanded for you." And in the same way he sprinkled with the blood both the tent and all the vessels used in worship. Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins."

In all this it is clear that something more than physical sacrifice is needed, the heavens require perfection of a spiritual nature. So Christ was not only the perfect man, sinless in everything, He was the perfection of God, the very nature of God, the perfect image of God. He by His sacrifice could bring forgiveness of sin into the very presence of God. Satisfying both justice and mercy, offering the means for forgiveness in the form of grace. He is Absolute Love.

Heb 9:23,24  "Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf."

Jesus doesn't have to do this over and over again, but sins past, present and future are encompassed in His single act of coming, living a perfectly sinless life, being punished and killed for sins-(only the perfect eternal Jesus could effect an perfectly eternal punishment on our behalf)-then overcoming death through being raised to life-eternally making intercession now, fully glorified together with the Father.
That is not the end though, He is returning to bring us into that new creation- not of this creation- perfect place where the presence of God will be forever with us. This is the essence of heaven. Joy unspeakable, in the presence of the Absolute Love.
There is only one condition to be there!
Are you eagerly waiting for him? Do you desire His presence? Is He the Absolute Love of your life?

Heb 9:25-28  "Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.  And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him."

His arms are open wide!

Heb 7:25,26  "Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.  For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens."
