Heb 11:8  "By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going."

Gen 12:1-3  "Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

Those of faith realize they are not at home without God, they will go wherever He reveals His presence will remain with them. This is true even at age 75, Abram living all this time set forth on the journey of seeking God's presence. Chosen, called and given the faith to bless all the earth through the gift of God's grace. God is Absolute Love.
Heb 11:9,10  By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.

One knows from faith that you will not find the home you seek without God designing and building your life's purpose. We continue to seek until we find our place in the purpose of God. Even when it seems outside of the realm of nature. Is it impossible in our frailty and weakness, then God will be fully glorified in bringing it about.

Heb 11:11,12  "By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised.  Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born descendants as many as the stars of heaven and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore."

All of us finally realize sooner or later that what we seek is not here on earth. God has made a place in His presence where we can realize all of who we are in reality. Who we were created to be. The image bearers, imitators of God's Son in perfect love.

Joh 14:2,3  "In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also."

Joh 18:36, 37  "Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world." Then Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world--to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."

Heb 11:13-16  "These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city."

Faith leads you to do things in obedience that are completely contrary to human wisdom, that are impossibly difficult, knowing that it is the one giving the command you trust. By Faith you act believe in His loving character, in His gracious provision, in His life giving power. He is the source, the sustain-er, the very life in you. All is His and you must give all. He is Absolute Love.

Heb 11:17-19  "By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son, of whom it was said, "Through Isaac shall your offspring be named." He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back"
2Co 4:7 -16 "But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;  always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you. Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, "I believed, and so I spoke," we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God. So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day."
By God's Word alone, by faith alone, through grace alone, in Jesus Christ alone, to the glory of God alone.
Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gratia, Solo Christos, Soli Deo Gloria
