1Pe 1:1, 2  "Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who are elect exiles of the dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you."

I, Peter, am a messenger of Jesus Christ, I've been with Him, He was my Rabbi. What I know I know for sure, because I learned this from Him; He has lots of people spread out afar who who belong to Him. He planned it long ago and it is sure because He is Absolute Love. He is Sovereign over all, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

I heard Him say: Joh 10:14-16  "I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd."
All this God has known and decided on even before it took place. The Spirit of God has done the cleansing by the sprinkling of Christ's blood. Your heart is now full of desire to be obedient to God. May His grace and peace be multiplied among you!

Here is what has happened in you. It is all Glory to God, for He caused you to be born again that your hope would be placed upon Him. This hope you have because Jesus Christ is alive, risen from the dead, that what you receive from God is imperishable, it will last forever and cannot be taken away from you! This glorious reward of  pure fellowship with God, fully restored is going to be revealed at the last day! It is fully guarded through your faith.

1Pe 1:3-5  "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

This brings such joy, even though for a little while there are lots of difficulties to endure. Yes, grief is a part of the now, but through grief the genuineness of your faith will be revealed. Everyone is going to go through the fire of this testing. Your joy in Christ in the midst of all these trying events result in praise, honor and glory for  Jesus Christ now and when He returns.

1Pe 1:6, 7  "In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ."

2Co 4:6-11  "For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;  always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.  For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh."
Your perseverance in faith, even though you don't see Him face to face, still you love Him and believe in Him. You continue to rejoice in Him. This inexpressible joy and giving glory to God demonstrates the outcome of faith, your souls salvation. Hallelujah, you have been set free from sins slavery!

1Pe 1:8, 9  "Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
