Eph 2:1-3  "And you were dead in the trespasses and sins  in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience--  among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind."

You were walking around alive yet already dead to God's love and grace because of the path you walked. Straight away from the life found in God, following straight after the spirit of anti-christ, anti-love, into the deception of Satan. Disobedient to the ways of God, following your own passions, not the passionate Absolute Love of God. Your were walking straight into the wrath of God, your very nature was anti-God!
God saw you in your rebellion and disobedience and because He is Absolute Love, abounding in grace, mercy, forgiveness and steadfast love, this love poured over in abundance to you. His love is so great He loved us even when we were against Him. So by pure gracious gift He made you come alive to His love in being united to Jesus Christ by grace through faith. You are now also in the same exalted position in God the Fathers eyes as Jesus is seated right next to Him as His only begotten Son. Now throughout eternity and all the coming ages His immeasurable grace that has no end will be shown to you as you are taken into the life of Jesus Christ, Isa Al Masih, Yeshua Messiah, He is Absolute Love. He is Yahweh.

Eph 2:4-7  "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved-- and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,  so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus."

Exo 34:5-7  "The LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty,"

Why did He do all this and why me? It was all a gift, nothing you have done to merit the love of God. He has given us the faith we have in His love, you cannot brag about being different or better, it is not us at all it is Jesus Christ working all of His Love for God and others into us. God even prepared all the good things we would do in His name before we do them. We just walk in the path He sets and they come to us as opportunities to let His love shine out.

Eph 2:8-10  "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,  not a result of works, so that no one may boast.  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

So it is important to remember how you once thought and acted, you didn't care at all about following God's commands. You had no connection to Christ, you were alienated from those who followed God's laws and you had no knowledge of God's covenantal promise. You didn't have the hope of living without fear of death and you had no connection to the Love of God.

Eph 2:11, 12  "Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called "the uncircumcision" by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands-- remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world."

But now have been brought very close to God, in direct fellowship with Him by the sacrifice of Christ's death, shedding His blood for you on the cross.

Eph 2:13  "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."
