2Pe 3:1-3  "This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,  that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires." 


I wrote to you before and I want to remind you again about the same thing; remember the warnings of God's Word and the commands of the Lord Jesus, our savior. You know false teachers and scoffers will increase and they only are interested in their destructive desires.
They will tell you; "that is "Old Testament" don't pay any attention to it." They will say; " A God of love will not judge people or send anyone to Hell. They will say; "this world is billions and billions of years old and it continues as it has for ages."
Here is where they are mistaken, they discount all of the warning and evidence about God sending a destroying flood and only saving Noah and His family. God's love is an Absolute Love, full of justice and truth. His grace is long suffering but He is the judge of what is good, right and loving. All else and everyone outside of His love and truth will be destroyed.


2Pe 3:4-6  "They will say, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation." For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God,  and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished." 


This time destruction will be by fire, when Jesus Christ returns as judge this earth will be destroyed and all ungodliness with it!


2Pe 3:7  "But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly." 


So don't forget God's patience in grace towards you, God is not slow in His promise, but He wants all of the redeemed to repent and be brought into His Absolute Love. It is for you who believe now that God has been patient. 


2Pe 3:8, 9  "But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." 


When the time God has appointed and all have been brought in, then the second coming of Christ will come like a thief to take us away, (all of us who believe) and then all will be consumed in the fire of His judgement and wrath. All the evil of the world will be exposed to destruction.


2Pe 3:10  "But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed." 

Since this is the witness of all of God's Word, be careful to walk in holy love. Anxiously wait and do all you can to hasten God's coming. 

2Pe 3:11, 12  "Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness,  waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!" 

It will be a glorious arrival for us who believe because we do not wait for our world to dissolve. Our world is the place where God will be continually with us in a new heaven and earth. He is preparing it for us and us for it right now.

2Pe 3:13  "But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells." 

So be diligent to be spotless and blameless in love, being at peace with God. Don't count this waiting patiently time as a mere waiting but as a time of salvation, preparing yourselves and inviting others in to this glorious invitation of repentance. 

This is the same thing Paul has written to you, I know. Don't twist his words around to say something different. 

Don't listen to those false teachers who talk about grace as lawlessness, don't walk away from the stability of God's law. Keep growing in God's gracious love, deepen your knowledge and intimacy with Jesus Christ, Isa Al Masih, Yeshua Messiah. He is Absolute Love. He is Yahweh. To Him belong all glory and praise forever through eternity. 

2Pe 3:14-18  "Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,  as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.  You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.  But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." 

2Pe 1:10,11 " Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
