2Pe 1:21-2:1  "For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction."

God's Word is perfect, directed by the Holy Spirit, but some twist the message. They teach falsehoods, destructive activities and even deny the grace and power of Christ. Absolute Love is jealous, righteous and will not overlook the justice of destroying those who distort His Word. He will not ignore the destruction these destroyers of love.
The content of these false teachers message is to reduce love to sensuality. Grace they say is accepting anything I desire to do, my personal temporary gratification is supreme about God's revealed will in His Word.
Their destruction is not latent or unknown, you can see the result of their destructive behavior both within them and in the lives that they touch. God will cast them into Hell at the judgement. He may destroy them outright to bring an end to their continual wickedness.

2Pe 2:2-6  "And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.  For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;"

Here is a message for you who love the Lord and live in the midst of wickedness; I know it is stressful and frustrating. God will keep you and provide an escape, hold on to Him. He is Absolute Love. He knows the pathway out and how to keep the just judgement and the proper punishment for those who twist the truth.

2Pe 2:7-9  "and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,"

You can be sure that those who indulge in the confusing practice of distorting love into lust and who despise the law and authority of God's Word God will punish, their very behavior is destructive, They become more and more aggressive to bend others to their will and they blaspheme the glorious followers of Absolute Love.
Even Satan and his angelic followers do not dare pronounce a blasphemy against the followers of Christ.

2Pe 2:10, 11  "and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones, whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord."

These false teachers though, irrational and driven by animal instinct, they will be trapped and destroyed in their ignorant actions.
They might even be in your fellowship, claiming to love God, yet demonstrating by their actions they hate His ways. They cannot be satisfied, insatiability is the nature of sin, they have hearts trained and full of greed. They spend their time trying to entice those who are unsteady in their faith to follow after them.

2Pe 2:12-16  "But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction, suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you. They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing, but was rebuked for his own transgression; a speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet's madness."

Don't fall for it, they have no satisfying way to quench your thirst, they are like a mist that dampens the skin but leaves no water to drink from. Their end is darkness and gloom of being driven from the light of God's love. If you listen to them, you may escape their snare barely making it out to live in the light. They talk about living free but are slaves to the corruption of their ways. They become overwhelmed and enslaved by what brings them temporal pleasure, having never understood and forgotten the freedom of living by the law of grace.
Having forgotten they now are even more entangled in the web of sins deceit.

2Pe 2:17-20  "These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first."

It would have been better for them to not have  ever known that there is a way to rightly live before God, for now they despise that path. They turned their back on God and His Word, not following after His commands. They prove that their nature remains unchanged and their hearts unclean.

2Pe 2:21, 22  "For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: "The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire."

Eze 18:23  "Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?"
Eze 33:19  "And when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he shall live by this."
