#Advent #endtimes

The Hope of the world is a savior, a messiah who would put things right. However to put things right we must be put right. John the Baptist was the one to prepare the way. How would the way be prepared? It will be through personal repentance. Repent was the the message of good news. Prepare yourself through turning away from yourself, to the Lamb of God. The Lamb who takes away the sin of the world.

Joh 1:29, 30 "The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is he of whom I said, 'After me comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me.'"

Lambs were important figures all throughout the Scriptures. Abraham believed The LORD out of His great love would provide a substitute sacrifice as He took the promised heir, Isaac up to the mountain to provide an offering to the LORD.

Gen 22:7, 8 "And Isaac said to his father Abraham, "My father!" And he said, "Here am I, my son." He said, "Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" Abraham said, "God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son." So they went both of them together."

To be delivered from the slavery of Egypt, and the penalty of death that was upon the firstborn children of Egypt, the sons of Israel were to offer a Lamb that was without defect, a perfect lamb. The blood of the Lamb was to be put on the doorposts and over the door as a sign of redemption, that death should passover that house.

Exo 12:3-8 "Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a household. And if the household is too small for a lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor shall take according to the number of persons; according to what each can eat you shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats, and you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month, when the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill their lambs at twilight. "Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.They shall eat the flesh that night, roasted on the fire; with unleavened bread and bitter herbs they shall eat it. "

The priests, who served the people of God who came out from Egypt, were to make atonement for their own sinfulness morning and evening. This sacrifice of a perfect lamb was to prepare them to be able to enter before the Lord to atonement for the sins of the people.

Exo 29:38-46 "Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs a year old day by day regularly. One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight. And with the first lamb a tenth seah of fine flour mingled with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and a fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering. The other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and shall offer with it a grain offering and its drink offering, as in the morning, for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the LORD. It shall be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there. There I will meet with the people of Israel, and it shall be sanctified by my glory. I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar. Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate to serve me as priests. I will dwell among the people of Israel and will be their God. And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God."

Every year a special day of atonement was to be set aside to make atonement for sin.

Lev 23:27, 28 "Now on the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be for you a time of holy convocation, and you shall afflict yourselves and present a food offering to the LORD.And you shall not do any work on that very day, for it is a Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God."

It is clear tha preparation and repentance is now an essential part of preparing for the coming of the Lord. One cannot stand in His presence without a covering and a cleasing, for He is Absolute Purity, Absolute Justice, Absolute Truth, The Absolute Love.

So Jesus of Nazareth, Yeshua Messiah, Isa Al Masih He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Are you prepared for His coming?

1Co 5:7 "Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed."

1Pe 1:14-19 "As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot."

Rev 5:8-14 "And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth." Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!" And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!" And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped. "
