1Co 3:21-23 "So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future--all are yours, and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's." 1Co 4:1,2 This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy."

Yesterday I wrote about disputes or quarrels in the church. As I write this I have listened to Tony Blair talk today about his experience as British Prime Minister working with the factions in Northern Ireland to bring about peace. He also talked about his work in the peace process now in Israel with the Palestinians. He explained that the most difficult part is gaining trust between the parties that are in the dispute.

Trust is important in gaining peace, an unbroken, extended, lasting peace. Part of gaining trust is being trustworthy. If you are going to be a steward of the Prince of Peace, the Absolute Love, being trustworthiness is required.

What characteristics of bring about a sense that one has a character of trustworthiness?
Pro 11:12,13 "Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent. Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets, but he who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a thing covered."

The Absolute Love is completely trustworthy, have you put your trust in Him?

Psa 111 "Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and merciful. He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name! The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!"
