Mat 17:1-6 "And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. And Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah." He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him."When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified."

"When Jesus, praying on a mountaintop, was transfigured in the presence of Peter, James and John, they saw Moses and Elijah with Him. Moses had heard the voice of God on the top of Sanai; later, Elijah had been brought to the same mountain to hear God speak, not in the fire and tempest, but in the quiet whisper of God's sovereign word. The cloud of glory that had srrounded Moses on Sanai again enveloped Jesus and His disciples. God's voice again spoke from the cloud. But God did not proclaim another ten commandments to be added to the words of His covenant of old. Rather, the voice from the cloud said, 'This is my Son, whom I have chosen listen to him'(LK. 9:35)"

Heb 3:1-6 Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession, who was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God's house. For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses--as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.) Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.
